As a student-led organization, we function as an advocacy group that is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the National Institutes of Health (NIH), the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS), or the official NeuroNEXT Clinical Trials Network. Our mission emphasizes providing essential Parkinson's support to those in need while also fostering youth opportunities for involvement in meaningful causes.

Hey everyone! I am Vanshika Gottam, the founder of NeuronextGEN. I attend Mountain Ridge High School in Arizona. My journey into the field of neuroscience began with a deep connection with the human brain and a personal motivation to make a difference in the lives of those living with neurodegenerative disorders, especially Parkinson’s disease. As a student with a passionate interest in neurology, I realized early on that youth voices are usually missing from major scientific advocacy and research. This is exactly why I found NeuronextGEN. My goal was to create a platform where young people could actively engage with complex medical fields, spearhead community fundraising, and directly support independent neuroscience research and patient care initiatives. Beyond managing NeuronextGEN, I am dedicated to exploring Parkinson's disease further and to understanding its mechanisms, while advocating for the dignity, resources, and breakthroughs that patients deserve.
